A Look Back at Jaroslav Svěcený’s Concert in Mladá Boleslav

On September 10, 2026, a concert was held at the Sbor českých bratří concert hall, featuring the outstanding Czech violin virtuoso Jaroslav Svěcený and leading Czech accordionist Markéta Laštovičková. The cultural event opened with the ceremonial launch of the book Boleslav prvorepubliková, a collaborative work by authors Sylva Městecká, Pavel Sosnovec, and Jaroslav Šebek. 

The evening continued with a musical programme entitled "Southern Rhythms of Two Continents." From the very first moments, the concert unfolded in a truly exceptional atmosphere, created by the works of the renowned Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla, masterfully performed by Mr. Svěcený and Ms. Laštovičková. The combination of violin and accordion, set against the deeply evocative surroundings of the concert hall in the very heart of the city, once again offered the audience an extraordinary musical experience—one that has become a cherished tradition in Mladá Boleslav.
